Tiger Stadium, home to Louisiana State University's football team, opened
in 1924, with a seating capacity of 12,000.  A lot's changed since then.
When a capacity crowd is present, Tiger Stadium ranks, in population, as
the 6th largest city in the state of Louisiana.  I wonder what the folks who
attended the first game in 1924 would think of it now!
After several expansions over the years, the stadium now boasts a seating
capacity of 92, 542, making it the 10th largest stadium in the NCAA and the
17th largest stadium in the world.
A wonderful panoramic photo of the first game played at Tiger Stadium in
1924 - with credit to Chris Campbell and many thanks to him for allowing me
