Senior Bible Class, Carrollton Presbyterian Church, 1926 |
Carrollton Presbyterian Church was formed in 1855. At a date unknown to me, Palmer Park Presbyterian Church merged with Carrollton Presbyterian. In 1960, the church became one of only a few Presbyterian churches in Louisiana to establish a school. The school was open until 1988. The Catholic school Stuart Hall has purchased the property and operates a school at the location. A visitor to the site wrote to let me know that the Carrollton Presbyterian Church congregation now has only about 20 members and meets at what was previously Canal Street Presbyterian and is now Canal Street Church. |
